Vizno

A browser-based home for visual novels.

No install, no executables from a forum. Creators publish, readers click play.

What Vizno is

Vizno is a browser-based home for visual novels. Players open a URL, the story runs. No download, no install, no signing executables from a forum and hoping. Creators publish through our authoring tools, players read in the browser, and the platform handles distribution, monetization, and the trust layer between the two.

Why this exists

Visual novels have spent two decades behind an unsigned .exe. Players hesitate. Authors lose readers at the moment of "do I trust this download?" The web has solved this problem for every other medium - articles, video, music, games. We thought visual novels were overdue for the same fix.

So Vizno's runtime is the browser. The same modern stack that loads any website loads any story. The trust gap closes the moment you stop asking a reader to run a stranger's binary.

Who it's for

Creators who want their work read, not just downloaded by the already-converted. Import an existing Ren'Py project intact - script, characters, branches, assets - or build fresh with our authoring tools (Folio, our typed authoring language, and Aldus, our AI assistant for branching narrative). Keep most of what you earn: 50% on every sale we acquire, 70% on every sale a reader places through your own referral link. Paid weekly. Learn more for creators →

Readers who want visual novels worth their time. Click and play. Save your progress, follow authors, build a library. The catalog reads like a bookshelf, not a marketplace. Browse the catalog →

Affiliates who can send traffic to creators they believe in. Rev share plus a flat CPA on every paid conversion, on-demand payouts once your balance reaches the $100 minimum. See the affiliate program →

Two front doors, one platform

Vizno serves readers through two front doors that share one creator account, one payout, and one set of tools:

  • Vizno at vizno.com - the curated, after-hours catalog. Mainstream visual novels alongside literary adult work - romance (including spicy and dark romance), contemporary, character-driven erotic fiction.
  • Vizno Uncut at uncut.vizno.com - the home for hardcore, kink-explicit, and h-game-adjacent work. The entire subdomain is age-gated at first interaction.

Creators pick which front each project belongs on when they publish. Same rules of the road on both. Readers choose the door.

What we believe

Stories belong on the open web, not behind executables. That's the whole point. Browser-native isn't a feature - it's the rebuild.

Creators should keep most of what they earn. Our defaults skew to the creator. We make it back on volume, payment processing, content review, and the audience we acquire for them - not on shaving a few extra points off the people doing the work.

Adult storytelling is serious storytelling. Vizno was built to host adult-themed visual novels alongside mainstream ones, with verified creators and the right safeguards. At launch, all visual media is illustrated, painted, or rendered art - no real-person photography or video until the supporting compliance infrastructure ships. The Content Policy lays out the lines that don't move.

The platform shouldn't get between creator and audience. We give authors the tools and the surface; the relationship is theirs to grow.

What we're building right now

The runtime is live in the browser. The authoring tools, the Ren'Py importer, and the AI assistant are landing in steady slices. Monetization, payouts, and the open creator and affiliate programs follow as the supporting infrastructure lands.

This is a build-in-public posture. The changelog is where we put what just shipped.
