How do I appeal a decision or contact support?

Last reviewed Thu Jul 09 2026 00:00:00 GMT+0000 (Coordinated Universal Time)

Short answer: If Vizno has taken an action against your account, content, or a submitted notice - such as a content removal or a DMCA counter-notice outcome - you can appeal by emailing appeals@vizno.com within 30 days of the decision. We review appeals on the merits and respond within 14 days. The full process is set out in the Complaints and Content Removal Policy.

Who can appeal?

This article is relevant to all Vizno users:

  • Creators - appealing a content removal, account restriction, or moderation decision.
  • Affiliates - appealing a fraud flag, program suspension, or payout hold. (See also: the affiliate-specific fraud flag article linked below.)
  • Readers - appealing an account action such as an access restriction or age-verification dispute.

If you submitted a DMCA counter-notice and are waiting on the outcome, this process is also where you would raise a follow-up dispute or escalation. The specifics of how counter-notice resolutions are appealed are still being confirmed with our legal and trust & safety teams.

How to reach support

To raise an appeal:

  1. Email appeals@vizno.com, or use the report and support channels in your Vizno or Vizno Uncut account dashboard.
  2. Include your account email, a description of the decision you're disputing, and any relevant reference numbers (e.g. a DMCA notice ID, if applicable).
  3. Allow the team to respond before submitting duplicate requests. We respond to appeals within 14 business days. Do not follow links from third-party sources claiming to be Vizno support.

What to include in an appeal

Regardless of the specific process, a strong appeal typically includes:

  • A clear description of the decision you believe was made in error.
  • Any supporting evidence (e.g. proof of rights ownership, context about the content in question).
  • A specific, good-faith explanation of why you believe the decision should be reversed or reconsidered.

Incomplete or vague appeals may be returned for clarification, which can extend resolution time.

What happens next?

The outcome options, escalation paths, and any binding finality of decisions are not yet documented in policy. This section will be updated once the appeals policy is ratified internally. If your situation is time-sensitive - for example, a DMCA counter-notice window - contact support immediately rather than waiting for this article to be updated.

Can I appeal a prohibited content removal?

Short answer: You can always submit an appeal. Content that is unlawful or poses imminent harm stays removed while we review it and will not be reinstated where the determination is confirmed.

  • Policy-restricted content (e.g. content that requires a specific account setting, age-gate, or subscription tier to publish): if you believe your content was removed or flagged in error - for example, it was misclassified, or a required setting was already enabled - raise it through the standard appeals process described above.

  • Absolutely prohibited content (hard prohibitions, such as any sexual depiction of minors): you may still submit an appeal, but the content remains removed during review and will not be restored where the prohibition is confirmed. These categories exist to keep unlawful material off the platform.

Any person depicted in content may request its removal regardless of category - see the Complaints and Content Removal Policy.

If you're unsure which category applies to your situation, contact support at vizno.com/contact with your account details and any reference numbers.

Can I appeal an image rejection?

Short answer: Yes, image rejections are a type of content moderation decision and can be raised through the standard appeals process. Where an image falls under an absolute prohibition, you may still appeal, but it stays removed during review and will not be restored where the prohibition is confirmed.

If an image you uploaded or published was removed or rejected, the first step is to determine which category the decision falls into:

  • Misclassification or policy dispute - if you believe the image was incorrectly flagged (e.g. it was assigned the wrong content category, or a required setting such as an age-gate was already active on your account), this is a disputable decision. Use the appeals process described above.
  • Absolute prohibition - if the rejection was based on a hard-prohibition category, you may still submit an appeal, but the image stays removed during review and will not be restored where the prohibition is confirmed.

If you're unsure which applies, contact support at vizno.com/contact before preparing a full appeal. Include your account email, a description of the image or upload in question, and any reference or notice ID you received. The team can confirm whether the rejection is appealable before you proceed.

When preparing an image-related appeal, the guidance in the What to include in an appeal section above applies in full - particularly around providing evidence of rights ownership or context that clarifies why the image does not violate the policy cited in the rejection notice.

Note: The exact timelines and outcome options for image rejection appeals are still being finalized. If your situation is time-sensitive, contact support directly rather than waiting for this article to be updated.
